Human trafficking is a growing problem in Peru. The victims are mostly women and minors, mainly in gold mining areas in the jungle and highlands of our country.

Women are forced to work in clandestine prostitution centers under terrible conditions of health and violence. Held against their will, they are often lured there by the lure of job opportunities, others are sold at a very young age by their families, and others are victims of kidnapping or circumstance.

This work is made in honor of these women, the representation of the body talking about one of the most serious problems produced by the extraction of gold, situations that very few of us can imagine but that are the reality of many women in my country.
